Letter from our President
May 10, 2009
Dear friends and supporters:
We would like to extend an invitation to you to our 13th Annual Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los Ninos Celebration held in the City of Chandler on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Last year´s celebration was a huge success as it continued to celebrate family, culture and community.
The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is a one-day celebration that attracts more than 12,000 people to beautiful downtown Chandler. The festival brings to Chandler the beautiful colors, cuisine, arts, music and folklore of Mexico to the city. Unique to the event is the annual Chihuahua races and the crowning of the king and queen Chihuahua. Over 200 dogs participated in last year´s races and with cash prizes for the winners.
In addition to the Chihuahua races, is the health fair and sponsored by Arizona Physicians, IPA. The health fair is at no cost to the community and anyone who qualifies can register themselves and/or their family members for health insurance coverage. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is the largest multi-cultural event in the City of Chandler and prides itself on being a free event for its residentes and providing plenty to see and do for the families.
Why would businesses want to invest in this event? it is the largest multi-cultural event in Chandler, brand awareness, one on one marketing to thousands of people, the Hispanic buying power has not been affected by the downturn in the economy, create goodwill, and support a non-profit that has truly made a difference in the communities that they serve.
We would like to especially thank our media sponsors: Arizona Republic, Entravision Communications Corporation, KTAZ TV 39, Perfect Media, Teleguía en Español and the City of Chandler for their support and helping make this event a huge success.
On behalf of Si Se Puede we would like to thank you for your support of last year´s festival and again extend an invitation to you and to your family to attend our 13th Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival in downtown Chandler, AZ on May 1, 2010.
