Si Se Puede has adopted a City of Chandler Neighborhood. The neighborhood is commonly kwon as McQueen Manor. According to the Chandler Police Department, McQueen Manor has the highest incidence of gang activity, theft and other illegal activities than any other neighborhood in City of Chandler.  Approximately 300 adults and children reside in the neighborhood. The families who reside in the area low-income families whose children attend Title 1 Schools in Chandler.

Si Se Puede has partnered with the City of Chandler Neighborhood Services  Department  in an effort to revitalize the neighborhood and reduce those risk factors that led to detachment, a sense of hopelessness and illegal activities.

Since August 2008, Si Se Puede has begun implementing programs to assit the families in the neighborhood. On-going projects such as neighborhood clean-ups, health fairs and after school youth programs are being delivered.

This Holiday Season, Si Se Puede will be hosting their First Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner to the families of McQueen Manor.  The dinner is sponsored by Without Walls Christian Church and Manna Foods of Mesa, Arizona.

Our next project at McQueen Manor is turning a retention area filled with broken bottles and debris into a beautiful playground for the children to have a safe place to play. If you would like to help us with this project, please contact us.
